Recently my 'old' laptop running XP & Smaart 5 took a dive a cracked the motherboard forcing me into the 'new' laptop market. Having appearently not done enough homework, I discovered after my purchase that Sound Designs USBPre does not and (after a tech support call) I found out will never support the new 64 bit processing system that is on my cpu. Since I also do recording on my laptop, I do not want to go 'backwards' with the processing speed and therefore would like to replace the USBPre. Has anyone else run into this situation and researched the options? What are the chances a third party has or will come up with a driver for the USBPre?
