Groove Tubes Dual 75 Manual Transfer

I'm looking for help. I have a wonderful Groove Tubes STPG-1 amp/speaker emulator that I purchased recently, which has the most amazing cleans.

The amp didn't come with a manual and I have been unable to find one via the net or through Groove Tubes itself. Can anyone email me a copy of the manual?

I would pay for a photocopy of a manual if anyone has one. Revemu 9 81 Download Movies. I'm also trying to determine how to use EL34 tubes in the amp. Its currently set for 6V6's and sounds mighty fine.

However, I'd like to try EL34's in order to get a little more punch out of it and perhaps a more British than US (Fender Deluxe) sound. There is a statement on the chassis of the amp behind the power tubes as follows: 'Matched Set GT 6V6 (US) or GT EL34 (British).' What I'm trying to determine is whether I can simply replace the current 6V6's with EL34's? Does it need to be biased or is it self-biasing? I read one comment online that 6L6's can also be used if the amp is re-biased. Can anyone provide direction on any of the above? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestions Austinrocks. The Groove Tubes manuals section of its website has been 'offline' for about 3 months now - perhaps longer but that's when I first looked. I like the comments about the Yellow Jackets and will investigate that possibility. Meanwhile, I'm still looking for a manual and an answer to the question of whether I can sub in EL34's for 6V6's without needing to re-bias. I found a comment from a few years ago by one STPG-1 owner who sent his amp back to Groove Tubes for maintenance and they replaced the 6V6's with EL34's, stating to him that given the deteriorating quality of 6V6's generally and the high plate voltage that the amp pushes EL34's are a much better choice.

His comment was that the amp sounded even better with the EL34's than the 6V6's. Someone out there must know the answer given how many of these there are/were in studios all over North America. Thanks for your reply to my request Stan.

I've sent you an email at your address re: the Groove Tubes STPG-1 manual. I really appreciate your help.

With respect to the use of EL34's, it states on the case of the amp next to the power tubes that you can use either EL34's or 6V6's. And as I mentioned in my notes the guy I found on Harmony Central who reviewed the amp mentioned that he had sent it back to Groove Tubes and they specifically recommended EL34's over 6V6's. He also noted that it sounded even better with the 34's in place. BTW, I believe the transformers were made by Mercury Magnetics from what I have been able to find out.

I have also read one comment from a user who mentioned going with a pair of 6L6's in place of the 6V6 - so I know that power tube substitution is possible. Having said that, thanks very much for coming to my rescue with the manual.

I'll continue trying to track down the answer to the use of EL34's. Cheers, Marti K.
